Principles I have learned from Amal Academy.
Everybody needs inspiration to follow his dreams. One’s need to look deeply inside of himself to discover his dreams and to follow them. Following your dreams makes your life valuable. To find my own self, to dives deeply inside myself I have joined Amal Academy.
Let me tell you little bit about Amal academy. Amal Academy has been funded by the Center for Social Innovation at Stanford University. Amal was founded by Benje Williams, and Kunal Chawla after completing their MBA at Stanford University and has been under consistent refinement since its inception.
Amal Academy has transformed the lives of more than 5,000 Pakistani graduates and is always aspiring to do more. Our aim is to bridge the income gap in our society by developing soft skills (communication, leadership, confidence, teamwork, public speaking) in our fellows which are highly sought after by industry experts.
After the first week I have came across the some principles of Amal Academy that are “Amal”’, “Khudi”, “kam kam kam” and “ik or ik gyara(1 and 1 become eleven)”. I will talk about the first two principles that are “Amal” and “Khudi” in this blog.
Now time to go through simple definitions of these two principles. First principle is “Amal”. “Amal” means action, action on what?, action on all the principles you have set for your self. Secondly “Khudi”, “Khudi” mean yourself, your inner self. Who you are what do you want to do for life and what do you want from life.
Now lets jump to section where we will deeply understand these two terminologies, concepts or principles. In my opinion these two principles are dependent on each other. When you understand deeply your “Khudi”, you understand yourself, who you are, what you want to do and why you want to do it.
Once you understand your “Khudi” and come up with answers of all these questions. You realise your values and priorities. You can then mold/manipulate these value into principles to follow. On other side you have “Amal”, which mean action. For this you must have principles to follow. As we discussed earlier that we should have values for principles and that values will be the result of “Khudi”. So “Amal” is dependent on “Khudi”. If you don’t have “Khudi” means you haven’t principles and no principles mean you would not have “Amal” principle. So “Amal” is dependent on “Khudi”. No “Khudi” no “Amal”, simple is that.
After you recognise your “Khudi” your will need to do “Amal” on all the principles you have gotten from “Khudi”. If there is no “Amal” on the principles, your “Khudi” is just in your mind its nothing more than a thinking. So for “Khudi” you will definitely need an “Amal”. Both “Amal” and “Khudi” needs each other for their existence, clearly means that both are dependent on each other.
